There are two different game modes in Evil Apples called Friends and Random. In the Friends game mode, there is no time limit, you can invite your friends and play together as a group and you will receive free cake after every game. Cake is the premium currency of the game. The Random game mode has two sub-modes; Classic and Survivor. Both Random game modes allow you to quickly join a game, with sixty seconds being the limit of each turn; however, you will have to pay one premium Cake in order to be able to join a Random game.
In the Random Classic game mode, you will have seven cards in your hand and need seven points to win the game. Every time that you use one of your cards, you will be dealt a new card. In the Random Classic game mode, you can use Wildcards with your own text, and discard the cards that you do not like. The Random Classic game mode is designed for new players.
In the Random Survivor game mode, you will be dealt a single hand of cards, with the cards that you do not play being replaced. This means that you will have to think ahead and use a strategy, in order to not lose to your opponents. A game in the Random Survivor game mode ends when the first player reaches zero cards. If there is a tie for most points at the end of the game, one more card will be dealt to the players, until one will outplay the others and be the winner.
